Project Goal

(i)

Our universe has gone through an amazingly creative and efficient process to create the human brain. But when we observe the universe as this process from the supernovas that created our sun, that eventually has allowed for our self-organizing green planet to support life in an extraordinary way that has led to the development of the human brain, it sparks the question:

Why is it that the human brain does not consistently perform at a similar level of creativity and efficiency as the process that created it?

The goal of this project is to investigate this question, and how we can elevate the brain’s existing potential by resynchronizing it with the greater process that created it, granting us a access to a deeper, more joyful, positive, creative, and loving experience of life that is inherently available within us but otherwise denied by the domination of the linear mind.

Concept Overview

This concept is unique in several aspects, including:

  1. Its observation of the self-organizing process at different scales.

  2. Investigating the nonlinear network as the pattern of organization for self-organizing systems: as nonlinear networks are mathematical patterns, they do not deal with substance, allowing them to encapsulate the essential behaviors of the self-organizing process that composes our universe.

  3. From our self-awareness process, we developed a linear model of the world. This approximated model once aided in our survival, but its domination in our current nonlinear world is not only inhibiting the full potential of the human brain, but is clearly becoming a threat to our survival.

  4. By conducting our activities via nonlinear technologies such as the internet, we’ve entered an emergent nonlinear era of interconnectedness, interdependence, unpredictability, and chaos, where our linear model of perception, thought, and behaviors is no longer compatible. This emergent era demands an urgent paradigm shift to permeate from our personal to social to planetary levels so we can navigate this era successfully. Fortunately, we possess enough scientific knowledge to guide this transition.

  5. Using the body as a metaphor, we will explore how the domination of this linear model is both the root of a) the disconnect between brain and body and b) humans from the universe, as well as the key to our resynchronization and cooperation with it.

  6. The development of new technologies such as the FMRI have shown us how the two hemispheres of the brain process information differently: on the left-side primarily dealing with analytical and linear thinking, and the right-side more intuitive and nonlinear thinking.

  7. Due to the universality of nonlinear networks, the method of reconnection found in our body network can apply to any network at any scale. This can be our social networks, governments, economies, or planetary networks, bringing a powerful universal application and deep simplicity to this perspective. In this way, the paradigm shift starts within our bodies and will permeate to every network we are a part of.

  8. We have consumed the resources of the Earth and converted it into information. If we observe this process with the nonjudgmental quality of systems thinking, this information is telling us how this whole process and the domination of the linear model wasn’t a waste.

  9. As a self-organizing cognitive system, Earth is in the process of becoming self-aware. The emergence of extreme weather patterns and the overall metacrisis are a message asking human beings to recognize ourselves as interconnected with this greater cognitive process.

  10. While linear perception assumes that our self-awareness process was accidental and separate from our planet, nonlinear perception sees our self-awareness as part of the larger self-awareness process of Earth. As a self-organizing cognitive system, Earth is in the process of becoming self-aware. With this nonlinear perception, humankind’s self-awareness process can be seen as part of a greater process of Earth becoming increasingly self-aware. Now that this can be perceived, it has been achieved.

  11. As a self-organizing cognitive system, Earth is in the process of becoming self-aware. The emergence of extreme weather patterns and the overall metacrisis are a message asking human beings to recognize ourselves as interconnected with this greater cognitive process.

  12. Earth is trying to wake us up to this message via the unsustainability of our linear activities and chaotic weather patterns so we will acknowledge every part of our self-awareness process as progress towards fully holistic integration of all its parts, moving beyond blaming any part of this journey, including the domination of the linear model and our technologies and social systems based in it.

  13. While the linear view tries to find the justification to blame one of the major participants of the event, by embracing the nonjudgmental, observational approach of the nonlinear view, we can consider any event, challenge, or crisis as part of a cognitive process that is trying to teach us something in order to find a systemic solution to the event. This nonjudgmental approach allows us to focus on the achievements of the process, rather than blaming a part of the process, so that all parts of the process (even the linear model and its byproducts) are seen as necessary steps leading us to realign with the greater self-organizing process of the universe.

  14. While linear perception separates us illusively from the universe the same way it separates creator from creation, nonlinear perception offers a major philosophical and spiritual shift as it bridges the linear division between creator and creation. Nonlinear perception acknowledges that our universe is not only self-organizing, self-healing, self-regulating, and self-beautifying, but also self-creating without any central command. By synchronizing all its elements, the universe continuously generates a higher consciousness that guides the entire system, creating a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.

  15. As a self-organizing, living system, Earth provides its inhabitants with a smooth journey around the solar system 365 days a year, offering beautiful scenery, nourishing food, and everything we need to survive and thrive without any expectations. This behavior is entrained by the sensation of unconditional love, as if this is the gravity that holds us all together, remaining a part of the greater system of Earth. With this view, it becomes a message that can be heard throughout the universe.

  16. We are discovering the true dimension of the universe to be the fractal dimension—the geometry of chaos. This fractal structure reveals how self-organizing processes unfold, demonstrating that the universe generates intricate and complex patterns using simple formulas. This is an indication of the deep simplicity that can be found throughout the self-organizing universe.

  17. By shifting from liability management to asset management throughout any network we are a part of, we can maximize our creative efficacy and cooperation of all of the parts of our systems. This will enable us to realign ourselves with the greater self-organizing process and synchronize the left and right hemispheres of the brain so that we may perform at a level of creativity that is equivalent to the process that created us, elevating our physical, mental, and spiritual experience of life, bringing hope, love, prosperity, and peace to our world.
